Slung Low

Slung Low have been making theatre in unusual locations for over 10 years. Based at the Holbeck Underground Ballroom in South Leeds, the company manage this building as a space in which young artists can make, develop and show new work.

Peter works as an Associate Producer for the company, having worked on Original Bearings (West Yorkshire Playhouse 2011), Converging Paths (North Yorkshire Festivals 2012) 15 Minutes Live (Leeds Town Hall 2012), Northern Big Board (Shipley Baths 2012) and 59 Minutes to Save Christmas (The Barbican 2012).

In December 2012, Slung Low will again team up with theatre companies and arts organisations from across Leeds to present A Christmas Fayre at the Holbeck Underground Ballroom in Leeds.

There will be brass bands, storytelling, hog roasts and over 30 stalls from local crafters and food producers. The Christmas Fayre will take place at the HUB on 1st December 2012 between 12pm-4pm.

In 2013, I will work with the company on delivering the next edition of their radio play project, recorded in front of a live audience with a band and foley sound, 15 Minutes Live at the Holbeck Underground Ballroom.

This edition will see the company commission 5 writers to create original 15 minute-long pieces. The 6th radio play will be commissioned through a nationwide competition in partnership with the BBC.
